Celebrating 15 Years of Podcasting

Want to celebrate with me? Today (April 2) marks my 15th anniversary in podcasting!

On this date in 2007, I published my first podcast episode, called “2 Dish 2 Wash,” for a show then titled “That Thing I Call Life.” I soon renamed, rerecorded, and republished that podcast and its 2 episodes under the new title “the Ramen Noodle.”

In the last 15 years, I've hosted around 1,000 episodes across 8 of my own podcasts, totaling more than 2,000 hours of content with 10 cohosts.

Because of my podcasts, I've had the blessing of serving thousands of podcasters, winning an award, seeing several shows be award-finalists, talking with amazing people, directing a podcast network, speaking and keynoting at several conferences (invited internationally), running a conference, helping found an internationally recognized day for podcasts, being on an advisory board, contributing to the next generation of podcasting, guiding the podcasting industry, and running a business helping other podcasters succeed. And that last one is the most important to me because it enables me to be the full-time daddy my son needs.

And all of this started with me in my basement, talking into a $10 mic through a piece of used pantyhose wrapped around a wire hanger; simply a guy who wanted to tell stories.

Thank you for being with me on this journey! And most of all, I thank God for His grace, guidance, and provision.
